New Year 2021! Have courage, and always be kind.
2020 is over, and, let's be honest, we are making emotional leaps to finally close a year full of pain. In my family we miss two people, my cousin and my brother-in-law, but my friends missed their relatives too. Grandma, grandparents, brothers, sisters, many of them are not here... So this situation touch all of us directly or indirectly.
We are leaving behind a difficult year, 2020 marked in almost all its aspects by the pandemic. A pandemic that we did not expect and that since the beginning of the year put our lives in check. Everything has changed. Being locked up at home for months, thousands of lives lost, no longer seeing our family and friends, the loneliness, the uncertainty.
You cannot imagine how much I want to travel to see my family and our communities to work face to face with them, to talk face to face about our bags, colors, materials. To visit them and bring videos to show our beautiful members. But we need to continue to respect the rules in order to be healthy and help protect our families and our communities of artisans.
Despite this situation, we did the last campaign last year to make our communities smile. We were very concerned about them, and we couldn't finish the year and no have a beautiful surprise for them and their children. In the next article I will show you.
Although everything surrounding 2020 may seem negative, it is not so negative. If you look at it in perspective, you will see how much you have learned from this situation, how many new teachings and values you can incorporate into your life from now on thanks to all those bad times you have lived through.
If true that, you had to put on a mask, but at least you were able to continue breathing. You couldn't travel, but you were able to spend more time with your family. You could not hug and kiss your parents and friends, but you learned to say 'I love you' and kind words more times. Yes, 2020 has taken many things away from us, but it has taught us to value what we have much more.
2021 Started so I want to tell you, It is not the destination, it is the journey. Enjoy every day of your adventure. Happy New Year 2021! ⠀⠀⠀
