Expat Kids in Eindhoven
"The original idea, born during quarantine with Love By Grace Kids, revolves around providing free online activities for children all over the world. This initiative led Silvia Expat mama to ponder how could support the children in our beautiful community, thus giving birth to this project.
Each week, we will offer a diverse range of activities covering various topics, including technology, science, cooking, history, and crafts. This new and expanded concept focuses on imparting soft skills and emotional intelligence education. Through enjoyable experiences designed for children aged 0 to 13, they will have the opportunity to form friendships with peers in a healthy, fun, and dynamic environment that we have created in Eindhoven.
The core objectives of these activities are as follows:
1. Assisting children in adapting to their new country.
2. Establishing a connection between the children and the Dutch city and culture.
3. Strengthening the bond between children and their parents during this period.
4. Promoting emotional intelligence and developing soft skills.
To support these goals, we have created a Facebook group called Expat Kids in Eindhoven. In this group, we provide a platform to share ideas, such as where to purchase clothes, suggestions for kids' parties, recommended venues for birthday celebrations, family-friendly dining options, and other tips to make life easier. Additionally, every Thursday, we host Facebook live events featuring experts from around the world who cover various topics relevant to children, such as bullying, reading, creating activities for kids, healthy eating, dyslexia, finances, and gentle discipline. We have experts scheduled for every Thursday this month, as well as two Saturdays. We also offer a Facebook live session where parents can interact with a toddler expert to gain valuable insights on different topics.
Furthermore, we have introduced a new segment called "Expat Kids Be The Blogger." Each Thursday, one of our expat kids and their family share their experiences visiting a location in or around Eindhoven. Lastly, every Friday, we will have again our dutch free tips and lessons and providing opportunities for children to learn the Dutch language with reading.

In addition to the activities mentioned above, we also organize special family days that bring parents and children together for a day of fun and bonding. These family days are filled with exciting games, challenges, and team-building activities that foster strong family connections.
To kickstart these family days, we begin with a delightful breakfast for families, where they can enjoy a delicious meal together before engaging in the day's activities. This breakfast not only fills their bellies but also sets the tone for a joyful and enjoyable day ahead.
In addition, we host playsory chats, which are interactive sessions where moms and toddlers can come together to play, chat, and engage in stimulating conversations. These chats provide a safe space for children and parents to share their thoughts, experiences, and learn from one another.
As part of our dedication to keeping expat families informed, we also provide the latest news and updates through our "Expat Kids in Eindhoven News." This is a newspaper for kids in English and Dutch to highlights events, news, and resources that expat families can benefit from, ensuring they stay connected and updated with the local community.
Lastly, we offer a variety of workshops for both kids and families. These workshops cover a wide range of topics, including arts and crafts, music, dance, sports, and more. Through these workshops, children and parents can explore new hobbies and interests while strengthening their bond and creating lasting memories together.
