First List Holidays Activities in Eindhoven for our Kids
In and around Eindhoven different activities are scheduled during this time,
Karting, swimming, climbing and even nature are some of the best ideas for an unforgettable family holiday, that's why Expat Kids in Eindhoven shows you the best activities to do during your holidays in Eindhoven and its surroundings. This is the first article soon you will have another with more recommendations.
- Water Creatures
Expat Kids in Eindhoven with Wild Eindhoven bring to u this amazing adventure. Along the lake. Our participants guided by the expert will go on a trip in a net to look for small animals that live in the river or lake: insects, minnows, frogs and others. The children will use the net and place what they find in small boxes with water so they can see them. Depending on the group our activity leader will bring some cards for them to try to identify what we have found or the smaller ones their explanation.
We will have two groups at different times
14:00 to 15:00 Hrs (Toddlers from 3 to 6 years old)
15:15 to 16:15 Hrs ( Children from 7 to 12 years old)
All participants will receive a bag full of the items they will use and some surprises :)
Each child will be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

- Insect Safari
Insect Safari "Bug Safari" in the open air. Here our participants together with their families will live a challenging outdoor experience. Each family receives a card with different animals they can find (e.g. for insects: butterflies, bees, beetles, grasshoppers, etc.), our Wild Eindhoven leader will explain to them where to look and/or how to look, and then they all go on the search together.

I do not Know Festival!
From 29th August until 2th September is I do not know festival. Learning to program, virtual reality and sporty skating to designing, building or freerunning! There is this and more to do during I KNOW MUCH!
During the festival you will discover everything in the field of technology, design, making, media, culture, research and movement in various cool places on Strijp-S.
Accompanied by professionals who help you to discover new things, you participate in two workshops per day and in between we have lunch together.

- Fun Forest Venlo

At Fun Forest you overcome your fears, learn your strengths and build your team. Trees are therefore not the only ones that grow in our forest! Climbing and scrambling over obstacles in nature is a great way to overcome fears, learn your own strengths and build your team. Everyone is welcome in their forest; now in holidays is the perfect activity in family.

- Museum Kids Factory
At Museum Kids Factory, children learn more about technology in a playful way.
Children aged 8 to 12 get started with activities such as crafts, mechanical building, soldering, sawing, drilling, 3D drawing and 3D printing.
There are also plenty of things to do for children aged 5 to 8!
There is a fixed start time and the activity lasts 1.5 hours. Book quickly, because there are only 8 places per start time!
Adults only buy a ticket for the museum. Children who participate in the activity need a museum ticket and pay €3 extra for the activity.
So buy your child a ticket for Museum Kids Factory at the desired time and a museum ticket at the same time. Parent(s) or guardian(s) only buy a museum ticket for themselves at the same time. Museum card holders (or Philips employees) must reserve the time slot, but only pay for Museum Kids Factory.
- Motion Experience

During the Summer Holiday edition from 9 July to 4 September, it is Kids Time every morning from 9.30 am to 12 noon.
Children are always welcome with motion experience, but during Kids Time it is extra fun for them! For example, there may be crazy creatures on the walls, the Imagination Experience has been transformed into a digital activity square . Kids Time is every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Their Summer Holiday edition will start from 9 July to 4 September. This means that from Tuesday to Sunday there is kids time every morning from 09:30 – 12:00.
- DAF Museum

In the DAF Museum one falls from one surprise to another. The ingenuity that characterizes DAF vehicles, from 1928 to the present, will also captivate the non-expert visitor.

- Monk Eindhoven

Monk Eindhoven is an easily accessible and spacious hall. With more than 700 m2 of climbing walls spread over two floors, a training area and a spacious café, this is the place-to-be for bouldering. They have boulders for experienced climbers and for beginners from 6 years old.

- De ontdek Fabriek

In their old factory in Eindhoven you can enjoy a cool feature film and you can play and build inventions to the fullest. Inside and (in good weather) outside!
During school holidays (South region) they are also open to the public on many weekdays (11 am to 5 pm). During the summer holidays they are open to a limited extent.

- Eindhoven Observatory
Visit the Eindhoven Observatory is possible again. The entrance fees for regular openings are the same for individual adults and young people over the age of 10. The entrance fee is set at € 2.50. There is a “pin only policy”. Due to transparency, they are forced to only accept digital payments.

- Glow golf

Glowgolf is a super fun activity for the whole family. Glowgolf can be played all year round. In the winter it is comfortably warm and in the summer the air conditioners ensure a COOL round of golf. In summer holidays is open every day from 11:00 am.
The theme is "Adventure". You play mini golf in an amazing fluorescent decor. Via an Aztec temple and an old mine you reach a science fiction part where you have to pass between the spaceships. After this you arrive in the Deep Sea zone where you will be overwhelmed by the beautiful decors. After your underwater experience you will enter the Jurassic zone where the dinosaurs are waiting for you. The 18-hole course is full of beautiful scenery and the many obstacles challenge you to hit a hole in one, will you succeed?
With their special 3D glasses (option € 1.25 each) the experience is even greater. The floors, walls and scenery seem to have depth and the game also becomes more challenging.
A round of Glowgolf with 4 people takes about 60 minutes.
- Karting Cars

Children from 1.20 m can already go karting with them! They have special mini-karts for them. Children who are taller than 1.45 m, but younger than 16 are considered juniors. They drive the same karts that adults drive, but the speed is limited.
On Sundays they are especially open for children from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations can be made two weeks in advance. Juniors can also ride at the same time as adults! For safety reasons, the speed of adults is therefore limited.
During the holidays there are opportunities on (almost) every day to go karting with children, both for mini-karts and for family heats (where juniors can ride at the same time as adults, everyone drives at junior speed). Reservations are required and can be made via 040-2480445. During the holidays we are open every weekday from 1 pm!
