The birth of a dream, Love by Grace

It always seems impossible until it's done. This phrase reminds me of the beginning of this project, about 19 years ago, where God put the idea, but I always found an excuse to start.

Last year 2019, my heart brought me to this country and this new life change would not be an exception to continue working on my mission or purpose, since all my life I have been involved in different causes, seeking to impact in a positive way, the lives of the people around me.

 

My first week in this country, my first birthday 

It was in this country where I felt that everything was ready to work on a dream that I had been waiting for years, this is how Silvia Ardila Love by Grace materialized. Supported by love, and the passion to generate change in the vulnerable communities of my country with this project.

I started with the Guajira because it is the area where I grew up and I know its problems, but in the future I would like to be able to work with many more communities. I already have in mind the island of Tierra Bomba in the Colombian Caribbean.

We are working with the Wayuu indigenous tribe of Colombia. The Wayuu people making the products to customers experience the value and love that these products reflect by supporting the most disadvantaged families among the Wayuu of the Guajira, Colombia. In collaboration with the Wayuu women, "Silvia Ardila Love by Grace" proposes a new and unique design and applies new materials to enhance their beauty and make them unique pieces of art. With this, we like to improve the life of all involved. The principles of transparency and respect for our artisans guide our process.

 Why Love by Grace? 
I believe that the most important ingredient to make anything in our lives is Love. This will always be the power that will allow us to give value to life. Love is and will always be stamped in every detail made by our hands to honor all the gifts and talents received by Grace.

What is love? Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, is not selfish, does not get angry easily, does not keep track of mistakes. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. What is grace? Grace as God's undeserved favor to man.

According to this concept, I understood that these two words defined what I had wanted since I was a child: love for others, my engine, and how I could use the talents that had been given to me by grace to fulfill my purpose. This is how love by grace is born.

We are born of the desire to transform lives, as in .
Our business model is based on the theory of social added value, and we do it in two ways.

1. When we buy the mochilas from the artisans
2. After selling the mochilas, we will donate 50% of our profits to invest in the social projects of the artisans.

With this, we specifically seek to improve the quality of life of women and children in these communities. And this is more than our profits go to social projects in two lines:

- Community development: education, nutrition, specific activities, water and energy.

-Health

Our first project is to generate energy for a community through solar panels to complete this collection of crystals. I invite you to get to know our collection and be part of this dream.

I will continue to fight and work to carry out this project, I firmly believe that I will achieve it if I can! It is just that we use the love and talents given by grace, to generate change around us.
